Here is a nice one from Nitro planes, dont get a Small p-47, they fly very Squirrelly, I have a small p-47, and one bigger would be better and more stable IMHO, Take care, Chellie

the ParkZone P-47D is an awesome plane. No bad tendencies , all in all one of my favorite planes. Flies easy and predictable. Well worth the $ - if you can find a PNP even better

Im very impressed with my parkzone, highly recommend.
I have the spitty but im sure they all fly fairly similar

Are you looking for a foamy?

Karnsy 03-18-2014 10:43 PM

Yes a foamy.. leaning towards the ParkZone P-47D.
That is the scale and voltage I like. Been hearing good things about it.

thepiper92 03-19-2014 12:07 AM

It you want all out scale durafly is the best I feel. I've seen parkzone and they are missing a few things such as retracts and detail. That being said, durafly isn't great for parts, or at least getting parts immediately.

Karnsy 03-19-2014 11:42 PM

I would add the retracts and flaps. More $$$$ I know but I prefer those to be on the plane. I also own four other PZ planes from Horizon and they have given me awesome customer service ytd. Ship fast also not that its a big deal for me this time of year.

Jugflier 03-30-2014 01:43 AM

I have the parkzone P-47 and love it, great flying plane, I added the retracts and a durafly 4 blade prop.

The H9 P-47 is an outstanding airframe and if powered correctly and with the optional e-flite retracts the P-47 is formidable, fast and very stable with the correct CG. My P-47 is powered with a Power 110 on 9S and it flys the grove very well. It is not a for the beginner!

Anyone see the new FMS P47Razorback ? Looks like a good deal !

dahawk 04-12-2014 03:52 PM

I've watched WTS fly his PZ version and of course he has his souped up. Wow ! I'll bet he has his going close to 100 on speed passes.

I must say that FMS is a brand on the move. Love my 1450mm P-51 BBD. Top notch quality. And Motion RC provides every bit the support that Horizon provides IMO.

Karnsy 04-12-2014 09:42 PM

The only thing is for me I am looking for a 3S 950mm to 1200mm foam P47. The FMS Razorback is in that realm and even comes with retracts, as the HH is a lot more with retracts. Not sure it is worth that much difference. HH has been great with me on other planes but that sure is a big $$$$ diff.

dahawk 04-13-2014 12:49 AM

HH doesn't give anything away ! -LOL They have a lot of LHS's locked in. Kills me when I hear my own LHS guys call everything else "Cheap Chinese crap" As if there's an assembly line in Champaign , Illinois. For a lot of categories I would put up FMS or Freewing up against Parkzone or Eflight any day of the week. Now with Hangar 9 and Seagull it's a different ball game.

HH does provide great service , no question. I'm a DX9 owner and know first hand. But I've found a few FMS dealers like MotionRc equally as responsive.

If you're happy with Parkzone and like their P-47, stick with them but I don't think you would be unhappy with FMS.

My 2 cents...

I agree, I've never owned an FMS, mainly due to them being a bit too large large, at least the ones at my LHS. The looks of FMS are far more accurate I feel, as well as Durafly. Search for Durafly P47, FMS P47 and then Parkzone P47. FMS is larger, so has more place for detail, but both have more accuracy and more features (like retracts) compared to Parkzone. I am not saying that Parkzone are terrible, but they aren't cheap.

Karnsy 04-13-2014 02:28 PM

I was looking at the FMS retracts that come on the P47 razor and noticed they have metal trunnions. That's a plus in my eyes as I fly of a well groomed soccer field. Also does anyone have any experience with Diamond Hobby Co? I am now leaning in that direction.:cool:

dahawk 04-13-2014 02:37 PM

If they are the same metal trunnions used in the P-51, they're darned good ones. Diamond is in Tallahassee and Motion is in Chicago. I only have experience with Motion but I hear Diamond is good too.

Good luck !

Karnsy 04-19-2014 12:56 PM

Well I ended up pre-ordering the FMS 980mm P47 Razorback PNP Standard Speed from Diamond Hobby who seem quite nice I might add ..... http://www.diamondhobby.com/airplane...standard-speed

I really like what it offers for the $$$$$$$$$$ and my skill set.
Won't be in for a while but when I fly it I will get back to you all about it.
Sure seems like a good deal.:D

That's a sweet one ! A whole different ballgame when comparing to the foamies out there.
