Qrome/Jtechlaser Fokker Dr.1

I have always loved the Red Fokker Dr.1 and have built a couple over the years. Jtechlaser cut the files for BlueSkyRC but has not produced this kit in couple of years. I was offered the opportunity to build a prototype and of course I jumped all over that. The wood and cutting is excellent quality, remember this is a short kit. Like most of these short kits the plans leave a lot to the builder, such as mounting motors and hatches. I made all my hatches on the bottom, the battery hatch is magnet but the fuselage hatch is screwed into the bottom of the wing. She is powered with Rimfire 400, Silver Series 35 ESC, 11.1 1000mah battery, Electrifly Nano servos X 4 and Futaba FASST rx. Built traditional with wood glue and covered with Monokote, I hate painting. Hopefully Blueskyrc starts selling this as a kit again.

Looks real nice so far! The sheeting looks a bit tricky around the nose. Nice job on that.

Do you have any more basic info? ie Wing Span, length... I was guessing about 24 in WS based on the photos.

At some point I want to do a WWI bird....

Steve

Edit... Missed your last post... Very Nice Plane!

I remember when David (BlueSkyRC) did the original prototypes some years ago, and they were really nice flying planes. I was at JTechLaser the other week and saw these getting cut out. Nice to see them getting out to the public!
