Micro Build

I'm considering building a micro Staggerwing Beech which would have a
17.5 " wingspan. My problems: where to find a motor, ESC, and receiver to fit a plane this small. I would appreciate any help on this.

Search RCG Classifieds for guts from crashed E-Flite umx Beast if you're looking for budget solution. Our look at the parts going into their soon to be released Pitts S1. It has a 17" wingspan I think. May be overpowered for your needs but give you an idea for the motor. Just an idea that popped into my head at this bleary-eyed hour. ..

There are plent of options for micro RC, for instance:

2.7gram receiver: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s..._Receiver.html

1 gram ESC: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...ontroller.html

4.2 gram outrunner: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...er_2900kv.html

Try BSD Micro for all things small. Give them a call and they will work out which parts will work best for you. I think they are still in business.

By the way 17.5 inches in a biplane is not hard to do. I have a biplane with a six inch wingspan from them that flies great in a bedroom.

Many thanks, guys. All are great ideas and very helpful.

Rabbitcreekok bipe reference

Please give more details on your 6" bipe or tell us where you have posted it.
I'm very interested in such a flyer for indoor flying this coming winter....we have a very small area in which to fly and the NightVapor has been the main stay.
Thanks,
Steve
