*CC 160 HV Firmware Update*

I was having trouble with my E-flite Power 360 not wanting to go to full power. Tried different settings in the program for the CC 160 HV ESC but nothing worked. One Saturday I was going to give it one more try and when I plugged in my ESC to my PC I noticed there was a firmware update to 4.20. All my problems were solved. Glad CC came out with the update as I was about to give up on CC.

Myself, I wont buy a Transmitter or Receiver or ESC that you have to go on the internet to download firmware for it, to much of a Hassle with all that Gizmo’s stuff, I belive in KISS. :D

LOL
Actually, updating the firmware for the Castle Creations ESC's could not be simpler. Just connect your CC USB dongle between the ESC and your computer, and do the upgrade by following the commands on the PC menu provided by CC. And, CC, as often as not, includes a coupon for a free CC USB dongle with their higher powered ESC's. Doing this is a lot easier than finding a box for your ESC, packing it up, putting a mailing label on it, taking it to the Post Office, insuring it for a few $$$$, then waiting for its return.

As for upgrading the Spektrum DX8 transmitter software, yeah it's a bit more work, but if you read the half page of instructions, the upgrade is straight forward.

At any rate, being able to upgrade your own firmware sure beats sending it back to the supplier for a ???? time for the turn-around.
