Now the model in question is Extreme Flight Extra 300 58"...

No - it was the Yak 55 from Hyperion. I believe Hyperion now use a lot of CF in there models. But the HK Yak from them is balsa. .... 2 x 3mm stringers is pushing the limits I reckon ! Nice model...
