Yea that why I said to use hollow core door skin cheaper and stronger than lite ply for just a very small amount of weight gain over lite ply. I don't find wheels boring I just enjoy water flying...

If it is a three cell pack and you are getting only 8.4 volts the pack has a dead cell. 8.4 volts is a fully charged 2 cell pack. toysonics.com has LoongMax pack cheap.
