you talked about balancing, and you should every time. Most don't leave the lipo's unattended while charging.

Lipo fires

Hi,
not sure if you got the info about Lipo fires. I have been using for some time and had only one go bad on me. It did not catch fire, but got VERY HOT at a fly-in. Had to put it on the ground...

storage charge

you don't need to run them on a storage charge . when they come new, they are at a lower charge when delivered to you.

You will need to charge them to max before flying. they should be 4.2...

I have a amp meter and the Esc is a 90 amp castle.

Its drawing 65 amps now, there is enough power to fly it.

snap roll

I did a snap roll test, slowed it down to a crawl and no snap roll.

Not all planes snap roll at slow speeds and mine did not. I have had several P51's and the flaps help on the hot ones.

I have the P51D big beautiful doll, and I think its about the same plane.

I use the deans/T-plugs also.

I use a 4 cell , 4000 mAh lipo and it works well good flight time.

I have 2 of the imax b6ac chargers had them for several years ( $39 each ) and I got by with them. they go up to 5 amps. I still use them but have grown some and need a more charging...

I mostly go 1c charge, as I have 5 chargers . two small ones that will do 4 amps and big one that does up to 30 amps for two batterys at a time. the 5th just does the TX. I try and charge the day...

I bought some soldering adapters for Deans plugs some time ago and can not find them again.

They slid onto the deans soldering tab and the other end is a round socket hole that let you solder...

I just weighted the funtana.

fuse with 2 servos, wing with 2 servos, landing gear with 2 wheels.

total 3.8 lbs.

I guess I have been doing it a little wrong.


I have been flying my lipos for a short time and then measuring the Mah . I then bump the time up until I use about 50% of cap.
