Again, Chellie was right :D Never turn the transmitter off first, a person does not know if you might have a bad/damaged electronics in the system, and a fly away could hurt yourself or some one...

I agree with fhhuber, use Standard size servos, the Kadet Sr is a large plane, no need to try to save weight with a large plane and you want the power of a larger servo.
