I dont see where anyone suggested that.

Be careful swapping wires around with ESC's and other components. Many dont like reversed polarity and will let you know by letting the magic smoke out.

Be sure your throttle trim is all the way down. If the ESC does not see absolute zero, it wont initialize. Make sure all End Point adjustments are to 100% so you know you have the lowest position...
