If it's only slightly puffed I would try to nurse it back to life. The 3S that spent the night in the tree survived. I love my Thunder AC6, it's got a LiPo storage option so that never happens.

I used the welder method on my Makita 7.2V...

I used the welder method on my Makita 7.2V battery circa 1999 and it was a great improvement. It might need a few more zaps, but it's a lot better than it was before.
