Looks a lot like the linear servos typical of Parkzone micros. Hard to tell size by the photos though. If they are the PZ ultramicro servos they'd be marginal for that size aircraft as a glider.

There IS a way to set up a brushless motor to act as a DC generator... it requires 3 bridge rectifiers to take the 3-phaze AC out of the motor and turn it into DC.

I doubt it can work via an ESC...

The foam flexes and that releases the glue...

Yes, but usually not all that great. There have been several small jet airliners about that size . They tend to be 2 channel differential thrust and throttle, no moving control surfaces.
