Careful with the heat... first indication that you are applying too much is the surface of the wing goes from smooth to orange peel. If you see that, get the heat off if fast or you melt it down.

You can pull the RX voltage from any servo port...

You can pull the RX voltage from any servo port on ANY RX.
You have to have a compatible RX to get the data from the data port (lost frames, fades)

In theory you could have the TX with telemetry...
