Couldn't find the rod either. After spending an hour on the phone, I was finally able to get some 3-1/2" screws shipped in. I should have them this friday in Stainless Steel. I could not get Zinc....

I did goto our local hardware store and longest I could find was 3" with the 8-32 thread. I guess my one question is, if I can make the cowl fit, do I need to worry about...
