Just a comment for those looking at the 50mm HK Alloy units ... the 3S are no better than the JPowers standard unit ... but stick a 4S up it and it starts to come alive - still not up to my 5000kv...

This is only true if wing is not tapered. A constant chord wing will do as you say.

If a wing is tapered from root to tip - then this will generally have greater effect than a tapered aileron...
