Hi Evlwevl The AR6100 receivers are not a full range receiver, and have limited range, Also they are prone to masking, and Brown outs from low voltage, when using 2.4, Always use a UBEC to prevent a brownout from low voltage, the radio signal will sometimes get hidden with the battery or motor ( MASKING ) and you will loose your RF signal, it best to use a 2.4 Full range receiver, like a AR6200 with a satellite receiver to prevent masking and short range problems, Hope that Helps, Chellie
