Recently bought a durafly edge 540. Put it together and adjusted to get cg correct as per instructions. First flight was almost uncontrollable. Turns out it flies great with cg half inch forward of instructions position. This aircraft is 32 inch wingspan and runs on a 4s set up so is ballistic. Scary stuff with all that power and a very rearward cg.
I learned the hard way

ARF planes CG info is almost always Wrong, set the planes CG to be a tad nose heavy on all Maiden Flights and adjust from there, a plane with a Tail heavy CG will fly only once

and a Plane with a nose heavy CG will fly, but not great
