Warbird types need to fly a faster and require good tail-dragger flying skills including use of rudder with ailerons, proper use of rudder during take-offs and landings. Better to develop needed tail-dragger flying skills and reflexes with a Cub-like high-wing trainer before jumping into serious foamie or built-up warbirds. ( Ever hear of a novice full-scale pilot teaching himself to fly in a P-51? )
