Yup, and the high-end vendors tend to offer planes with a lot of CF-bracing on them. As a matter of fact, the TwistedHobbys CrackLaser I have is about as rigid as a balsa plane, thanks to clever bracing.
BUT, there's one big drawback: All that bracing and clever design comes at a higher price than a depron plane that's essentially self supported.
When it comes to 3D training, though, I appreciate that I can literally nose it straight into the ground and it bounces back up.
