I'm assuming you need to charge batteries that will be installed IN your model.
I've designed and built a number of LiPo and A123 battery chargers over the years. The three last chargers could charge and balance a 6S2P A123 battery pack at a 10 Amp charging rate. These chargers were good for about 400 watts charging output. It was switch selectable between 4, 5 and 6 A123's. The microcontroller monitored voltage to make certain the cell count was right before start of the charge cycle. The charger could charge 4, 5, and 6 cell A123 batteries, and nothing else. The microcontroller used also displayed total time, amp hours, battery voltage, lead acid battery voltage, and so on. I used these scratch built chargers for several years.
Then the high powered Cellpro chargers came out. That said, this charger was far less capable than my two Cellpro Powerlab 8 chargers. That high powered Cellpro '8 charger is far above anything I built, and it was considerably less expensive than scratch building!
