I have been making pushrods this way since I first started RC many years ago ... based on the Veron plan technique ...
Tools / Items :
Small pin drill
Carpet joiners thread
CA or Epoxy.
Pine / Balsa rod
Cut wire to suitable length allowing sufficient to overlap rod... + the Zbend or threaded end for clevis and 90 deg bent end.
Mark hole in rod and drill same size as wire. With knife then create a shallow guide channel to end of rod from the hole for wire to sit in.
Take thread and bind wire to rod and tie of.
Drop CA or Epoxy over thread to lock the whole ...
Note that here I've made for my J3 cub and that the Z bends which will connect to internal servos are OPPOSITE handed so that I can clear rods from each other when servos are close together ...
