My Vtail glider climes very hard while under power. It takes Lots of down elevator to fight this.
I am thinking I have a Decalage problem (difference between wing and h stab incidence)
the Decalage cannot really be measured on a V-tail as far as I know with any accuracy.
When just gliding this thing glides nice with just a notch of so of up trim.
Here is my question
Should I adjust the decalage by changing the angle of the vtail?
I mean with trial and error. What I am thinking is that I should raise the back edge of the V slightly until I get a good even path at say... I don't know 3/4 power. Then re trim the elevator for best glide.
Does this seem about right?
I am only spewing my interpretation of what I have read here so If I seem confused, it is for good reason.
