This is my first post on this site, so hello to all!
I've been flying for a couple of years now, mostly the Stryker and the GWS Formosa. Yesterday I flew the Parkzone P-51D RTF for the first time and was immediately disappointed in the lack of speed and roll rate capability as compared to the Formosa. I quickly figured out the slow roll rate is due to the fact the ailerons on the P-51 are half the size of the Formosa. However, I thought the P-51's 480 motor (960kv) and 9x6 prop would give me a bit more performance, especially in the vertical. The Formosa's Himax 2816-1220 (200watt/1220kv)motor and 10x6 prop will accelerate in the vertical. BTW, I'm in Denver at 5400' elevation.
Any thoughts on a motor and prop upgrade for the P-51D (25 oz/39.0" wing)?
