I'm considering my next plane will be a much larger one than anything I have flown in the past. I still want to stay 100% electric, and ideally I will be able to share the batteries with a future FBL Trex 550 on a 6 cell setup.
So here's the plan.
Battery selection will be 100% 6 cell 5000 mah.
My main question is how big can I get the plane side without having to go to over 6 cells? and still do 3D well.
Possible planes would be anything aerobatic (Edge, Yak, Extra) in the 73" (30cc) or 88" (50cc) size ranges. (On fence if it would be Extremeflight, 3DHS or Goldwing.)
I'm pretty sure that 88" would put me into 12 cell for sure, so if 73" would have me in 10 cell or something, I'd go with the 88" side.
I'd like advice also on what motor / ESC to go with ideally from Hobbyking. (I really like their SK3 ones)
I'm just having WAY too much fun with Balsa. Stable, Rock Solid, and I think I might even be able to fix em if they break.
