Well, I've been trolling for some time here, but the scratch build challenge finally got me off my butt to register.. So here's post #1.
About 10 years ago I was doing scratchbuilt speed 400 parkflyers. As is likely to happen, life interceded. So here we are ten years later, a new wife, new job, move to a different state, a wonderful five-year old son and things have finally settled enough for me to start thinking about planes again.
So in the truest definition of "Scratch", I started with _literally_ nothing. No radio, no parts, not so much as a decent knife. And not having flown in ten years.
So, August 18th I placed my first order with HobbyKing - radio (HK-T6A-M2/15140) , motor (AX-2210N/19675 2210N 1000Kv), speed control, two batteries (3S, 1000mAh), servos, props, charger, hardware, etc.
I maidened this morning.
