I finally got around to assembling my .50 size Hangar 9 F4U Corsair
that my wonderful family gave me last March. I had been eyeing it for a long time and when they put them on sale for $119 I just couldn't resist.
Well, it's a Hangar 9 ARF, so the build was very uneventful. No real reason to take pictures at all.
I used the recommended setup:
Power .46 motor from E-flite.
Castle Creations 75 Amp ESC.
Castle Creations 10A BEC.
Recommended servos all around.
Now I just need to buy a 4 cell 4000mAh 30C battery.
The fit and finish on this bird are phenomenal. I am very excited about the maiden flight. For anyone who doesn't know this, my wife gets to pick all of my pilots.
She enjoys it and I never complain, even though I would have liked someone a little bit more scale than Snoopy.
Anywho, here are some pictures.
