Wow, what a game that was last night! I had to be talked off the ledge at halftime, but in the end the Noles came back and were successful in securing their 3rd National Championship title in 20 years, and the first for coach Jimbo Fisher.
And even though there's been a lot of strife and controversy over the BCS system throughout the years, at least in this final year there was no doubt about which two teams should have played as so many Top 5 teams lost in the last few games of the year (and then a lot of them also went down in their bowl games too, what a year for the underdog!).
Up until 4:30 left to play in the game, it looked like Auburn was well on the way to upsetting FSU for the title. But after an Auburn field goal to make it 24-20, FSU returned the ensuing kickoff 102 yards to take the lead back. Then Auburn's next drive went to the endzone and left FSU 1:15 to go to work. Winston took the boys right down the field and scored the winning TD!
I'm still a little hoarse from all the yelling.
Now we get to see how well a 4-team playoff system works (or doesn't).
