New Planes from Hitec – On display at the WRAM show. Before Hitec purchased Multiplex, Hitec had a line of planes of its own. Well it seems that Hitec is going back into the airplane business. They are taking some of the successful Multiplex planes, putting Hitec servos and receivers in them and packaging them as RTF, BnF and RR models. The first two are Hitec packaging of the Easy Glider Pro and the Easy Star. They will have new names, but are basically the same planes. Ready to Go - The RTFs come with a 4 channel Hitec 2.4 radio. These will be complete packags that include everything. Hitec to Go - There will be a bind and fly type package that will be like the RTF but no radio. It will bind to any Hitec 2.4 radio. Plug and Go is a receiver ready version too, so you can use your own receiver, battery and charger. The Expected release is June. They are not on the Hitec web site but they were at the WRAM show and they looked good! They will both have a 235 watt brushless motor and folding props. For the Easy Glider based version, that may be enough to get it to or near the 200 meter Altitude Limited Elextric Soaring, ALES, target in 30 seconds. Clearly this will be a Radian and Radian Pro challenger. For the Easy Star version this will be wildly over powered. Should be a screamer!
