Each modified PSU is set up with a single +/- Binding Posts. Internal negative isolated from unit case to avoid electrical short when unit cases are in contact (for 24v set up). The units are still grounded through the AC power for safety. The Cooling Fans are Thermostatically Controlled, and ramp up when the load/temperature increases. They are all tested just prior to packing and shipping. PSU Specs Input: 110v AC Output: 12 Volt Max 75a (900w) Dimensions: Length: 10.75" (End of Binding Post to end of Fan Guard) Width: 3.375" Height: 1.5" Weight: 2.65 lbs $60, 12 Volts with Power Cord, Shipped within US $110, 24Volts (2 PSU’s in Series) with power cords and connection lead, Shipped within the US. Send me a PM if interested. Visit this web-link for feedback from others. http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=432106 |

Just because a few have asked, I tried the following.
Question: Can you connect four in series? I connected Four PSU's in series and achieved 48-49v DC.. Question: Do they work on 220-240v AC? Connected a couple of these PSU's to 220v, and they operate fine. |

Looking at your power supply set up. Very nice. How noisy are the cooling fans on this small sized unit?

There might be some interest in these supplies on the amateur radio forums like QRZ and Eham. Only thing is when it comes to powering amateur gear they need 13.8 VDC along with the high current levels. Most rigs will operate to a point on 12v but the transmitter won't develop full output (and sometimes won't work at all) below 13.8v. Do you know if there is any output adjustment on these supplies?
You're offering a very good price on these things. I've got one sitting on the shelf I need to play with. |
