Default ESC programming card - how do I use it?

It seems I never run out of stupid questions, but ... how, exactly, does one use a programming card?

I get the little jumpers for setting timing, brake, throttle reverse, etc. But, once I've got them all set up, what exactly do I do? Clearly, I have to plug it into the ESC but ... when? How? For how long? With or without the Tx on? Does it beep to tell me it's been programmed? Etc. Etc. Etc.

There are no Stupid Questions, Its Just ( Plane ) Stupid Not to Ask Questions What ESC do You Have

Do not Judge, or you too will be Judged. For in the same way you Judge others, you will be Judged, and with the same measure you use, it will be measured to You.
