Default dx6i vs dx8 elevon mix

I set up elevon mix on my dx6i and my new dx8, the problem is that the control surfaces move correctly with one radio but when i try to use other radio on same plane the control surfaces are all willy nilly.move the stick side to side and "elevator" moves. move stick back and forth, "ailerons" move. I want to fix this in the radio instead of switching servo wires around when i switch radios. reversing will not fix. any body have a fix. Thanx

Im assuming you originally set it up to work correctly with the 6i and now you are trying to match the DX8 to the 6i setup. If you set the DX8 to Elevon wingtype and cant get it right try using Elevon-B wingtype.

The DX6i is known to be messed up in elevon setup. Not sure it that makes it's setup incompatible with other TX.

If you're going to learn to fly them, you have to learn to fix them.

Why do you have mixes activated at this point?Set them to Inh.
In wing type set Elevon to Act.Plug the servos in.To get everything going the correct directions you either swap the servo locations on the Rx and/or reverse one or both channels. You should be able to find the combination that will work.

i had mixes act because of a you tube video. i tried as you suggest and can get elev to move correctly but the the ailerons are reversed. tried all combos of swaping servo plugs and reversing and still can't get correct combo. one thread says to plug one servo into gear on rx. havent tried that yet . i want it to be able to use both dx6i and dx8 without making changes.ive read others have problem with dx6i.i will see if Spektrum support will respond. Thanx
