Default Dare Design ... RCToys4all ...

Found this guy on eBay :

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=141147045738

Now these look very interesting ... what appear to be traditional kit models.

Kit prices seem pretty good ! Shipping's a bit of a killer ... but I'm definitely interested as his subjects for modelling are my kind of stuff ...

Anyone have any dealings with these kits ? Or know anything about them ?

I've been looking at the Dare kits, too. They look very nice and the price is quite good. I'm not sure about shipping, but I imagine its a bit more to Latvia than to PA.

So, I didn't help answer your question one bit. But, If I order one, I'll report back.

Happy Holidays, Nigel!

Shipping to me doubles the price ... but at about $100 total for a model in traditional ... maybe not so bad. They certainly have the 'look' ... size is reasonable park-size as well.

Merry Christmas mate ...

It appears Dare Designs are now owned by Brodak Manufacturing a substantial US company that specialise in control line flying.

The Brodak web site now includes the Dare Designed kits in their 'planes' section.

I've also been looking at them for a while. They do have some unusual and interesting balsa models you don't see in the mass market. Might be a thread over on RCG or RC Universe on these. Let us know if you get one.

Actually, I have a friend who has that very kit! I'll get back to you when I hear back from him.

And, his report is that the kit is good quality, overall. The wheels and "some other parts are a bit basic," according to him. Worth the money (not taking shipping into account).
