Default Japanese US-2 rescue flying boat.

Japan has a new modern flying boat. The US-2. Saw it in a T V special program. Rescued fisherman in 4 meter waves. Nice video.

Started as the US-1 in 1968.

Yes.....the NIFC and USDA (U.S.Forest Service) have been testing a couple of versions of this craft for fire fighting...it was recently showcased here in Calif. on a fire in the Glendora mtns......the Colby fire......haven't seen a RC model of this one yet....
