This is better than Dewey Cheatum and Howe:

I don't know...I could think of a few that would be better...

When my ex wife and I were choosing names for the kids .. we spent a lot of time making sure the Initials didn't create a joke or offence .. that the names were sensible and the kids would not pay a price in the school playground !

So many times I hear names given to kids that I wonder if the parents ever consider the life the kid will have with it ! There is nothing more cruel in this than another kids jokes !

Ha! We had the same issues... With the last kid, I told the owners of the company I work for (Frank and Paul) that the child would *not* be named after them. When they asked why, I told them to think of the initials... FU and PU... :-)

Many years ago, I worked with a guy whose name was Richard Head.

My grandmother went to school with a girl whose last name was Onion. Changed it to the Irish O'Nion.

Veronica Drew will never own anything with her initials.

Came across a J. R. Hopkins once. First name was Jack; you can guess what the R stood for. Wife may or may not have been nicknamed Bunny.

Worked with a guy whose last name was Bear. He and his wife had a string of kids and liked simple, oldtimey names, like John, Susan, etc. They held off on naming a son Paul.

In the same department we had a Navajo who kept telling Mr. Bear 'shush'. For years everyone thought he was telling him to be quiet until one day he explained that 'shush' is Navajo for 'bear'.

"Treason doth never prosper. What's the reason? For if it prosper, none dare call it 'treason.' -- Sir John Harrington
