Default How Nigel got home !!

As many know ... I went out to Ukraine early April with intent to do a quickie assignment of 3 weeks ...

After 4 months - I finally got home .....

First : Visa to enter Crimea was required from Russian Consul as Crimea had been taken from Ukraine into Russian administration.

Second : Consul has no directives to work with .... but visa is issued.

Third : Arrive Crimea - they are completely confused what to do ...

Fourth : Last days of visa - I cannot get replacement guy out ...

Fifth : I am now stuck without any way to travel through Russian controlled territory.

Sixth : It takes discussions with 6 international companies and interests over months to get my passage via ship to Istanbul ...

Seventh : I travel on ship to Istanbul and fly home !!

WOW !

Nigel

Well, I'm glad you made it safely back.

Helicopters don't really fly.......
They're just so ugly, that the earth repels them.

I still think it would have been simpler to bribe the border guards with KY Bourbon.

Wow Nigel, it must be a huge relief. Glad you're home. Can't wait to read the book.

Yikes
Glad to see you're back home and safe.

In this day and age, that doesn't always happen.

Quite a trip! Did you get to spend any time in Istanbul? I was there a few months ago. Really cool city!

Vodka ... That was good ... Russki Standart of course.

Istanbul ? I was all for getting first flight out and was straight to airport from the ship that brought me south ...

Now this will astoun some of you !!

I am GOING BACK mid October .... to see out the contract, probably till first week January ..... that's if the contract for Singapore doesn't call for me !

BUt if I go back - it will be with multi Visas now that system is in place ... means I can get of then. If I complete the contract - then the storage ship would go south to Istanbul anyway ...

It's strange what we do for money !!

Yeh I know - I need my head examined !!

Cheers to everyone for your thoughts and wishes ... means a lot to me.

Nigel
