Default Top Gun Park Flite Cessna - Any information?

I have seen many adverts for this plane - priced as low as £94 UK.
The write up/data from the retailers is below.
I believe it has a 35MHz 4 channel TX and the plane has throttle, ailerons, elevator and rudder.

It would seem to be a good plane to move onto from the HobbyZone Super Cub but the wingspan seems to be small and the weight a low that could mean not good for windy days (lots in the UK).

Has any one any views on this plane:

Hi retiredbri

I bought one about 2 weeks ago. I Have yet to fly it (other than on the simulator) so this from the assembly point of view.
Also I am pretty much a beginer having owned and flown/crashed one or 2 other parkflyers, but here are my comments anyway.

There were a few basic errors in assembly on the factory side (dodgy quality control).

1) The Aileron movement was very sticky and I had to tweak the pushrod routing to ease the force required to deflect them, as this was causing the servo to judder in the neutral position( I suspect it couldnt quite return to its neutral position and was trying to compensate).

2) The nose wheel had been linked to the elevator not the rudder (could have been a messy takeoff ).

3) The control horns were already mounted on all the control surfaces which meant I had to remove them to get them on the Z link at the end of the pushrod (not easy considering they were glued on to the surfaces).

3) The plastic engine cover was not put on correctly. I had to gently ease it off, clean off the glue, re apply the glue and push it on so that the prop could be bolted on.

I was actually looking for a plane that needed some assembly so I didnt mind to much.
HOWEVER if the others that come out of the factory need as much work they should probably rebrand it as a kit, not RTF.

regards

Hi all. I realise these posts are a bit old, but thought i'd contribute a bit here..
Bought one of these a few weeks ago, and have had several issues..
1 - The main undercarrage spats were both left handed (pre built) so one faced forwards, the other faced backwards!
took 4 weeks to get correct replacement from CML
2 - ailerons wer so 'sticky' in movement that the first time i tried them, stripped the gears on the servo.
3 - Cowl incorrectly fitted, fixed as per previous post.
4 - Same problems with the control horns also.
5 - Had an 'unplanned landing' resulting in broken motor mount , motor shaft and elavator, still waiting after 5 weeks for replacements from CML.
I fixed the aleron problem by copying the system used on the TGPF super cub... hinges, straight rods and 'L' linkages, but added ball joint connectors on the rear joint to allow for aleron movement in the vertical.
Fixed the motor mount problem by ordering a new fuselage, which comes with one fitted!
CML doesnt list the motor as a spare for some reason, so have ordered a couple of other motors, from another source (Cheaper than the bell and better quality/output) Will modify the new fuse firewall to mount these when they arrive so if i have another accident, parts are more readily available.
On the plus side.. it flies great, plenty of speed if needed, good flight times, and quite aerobatic with the aileron mods.
Cant help feeling a bit let down though, didnt expect do be doing all this or have these kind of parts availability problems for what should be an RTF trainer

Thanks to all who helped my decide to stick to my HZ Supercub. I've fitted Spektrum Dx6i Tx/Rx plus proper electrics, Brushed ESC (to stay with the 480 motor/gearbox and NiMH batteries).
It flies a treat and will now fit ailerons to get the feel for a proper plane. Then plan to move to a bigger plane that will fly in stronger wind than the cub can fly in.
