Default TORNADO for Twin CD-ROM from M-A-E

We have just released our new twin TORNADO! This very unique design features wing "tiperons" for exhilirating roll maneuvers! At 9-1/2 oz AUW and nearly 3-to-1 thrust-to-weight... performance is sizzling... yet can be as docile as you want, too! Both motors run off a single 10-Amp ESC, and flight times are 15-minutes (high performance) from an inexpensive 800-3S 10C lipo battery.

Comments and questions are welcome here!

Hi Randy,

Glad you guys brought these back! How is this version different from the Jinx?

I like the new color scheme!

I built a clone of the Jinx when it first came out. It was an awesome flyer! I had been meaning to order up a Jinx after mine died, but they were unavailable for a while.

Now....Id order one asap but I just got laid off

Hope you sell a million of them! They are super cool!

I think I need a signature.

Hey Larry -- TORNADO and JINX are essentially the same plane, except that changing our packaging has enabled me to simplify TORNADO assembly by having fewer foam parts. I have also added some CF reinforcement for the motors. JINX is no longer available, so TORNADO is the replacement. Oh yeah... the price for TORNADO is much lower too!

I'm glad you like the new color scheme! It's actually designed to be functional in helping with in-flight orientation while flying.

That sounds great Randy.

You should post some videos of it flying. People wont believe the roll rate - even after they see it

Here are a couple of shots of my clone. I exaggerated the fuse width near the CG on this one. I was experimenting with enhanced knife edge performance at the time. It worked well but it didnt look nearly a good as the original.

I cant say enough about how well this plan form flys. I loved that plane!

Default VIDEO

Thanks, Larry.... here's a VIDEO of my original JINX flying. I don't have any video of the TORNADO yet, but if flies exactly the same as JINX. Not surprising since the only difference (besides price) is the color
