The news said it was a Ford 250 pick up with boxes in the bed. Going down the 60 Frway. His catalytic converter was malfunctioning causing so much heat the boxes ignited and he started 6 fires. Gotta love those FORDS.

All states have had them since the '70s. We even have annual vehicle inspections in Texas that test the OBD2 codes.

Stanley the guy who owned it described the maiden flight and talked air planes with me for 1/2 an hour. He had a trailer with over 30 models in it. Including 2 GWS electric P-38s

went out to IE field today....what happen to u guys ???

anyway, maiden my f16 and all went well, suckers fassssst. hand launched perfectly and flew with no bad tendencies.

on a sad note, my glider crashed. had it up real high and the wing snapped. i was able to salvage most parts but the wing that snapped flew away north towards big bear

also, earlier some black hawk choppers showed up real close to us. pretty cool.

Al jr. thanks for the exp/rate settings !

here's some pics.

Ummm....you mean a real flying wing...right?

'cause that fuse from your glider looks a little tore up.......not sure how well it would do even with a new wing.

I'm flying local tomorrow, Sunday I'll be at CH (can't afford the fuel to make IE).

yup fuse looks bad. wind just snapped the wing. debating now whether to fix or trash, paid 40 bucks for it

i'm getting the nitch to soar high now, u know of any gliders/sailplanes in the market or websites for the serious glider person ?

yeah, IE is a stretch for you. i felt same way about chino hills but i love both places.

8 or 9 pilots showed at I.E. field today including Renegades Don, Jessie , James and me . No crashes so it was a good day. James flew the T-28 that Ed gave him on a stock motor , brought it home and slapped a 3536-1400kv motor on it cuz it didn't have enough power for him

Cool pics, Al....glad the IE field was good to everyone today

Robbie and I took a last minute ride out to the PVMAC field to watch some of the activities. As it was a spur 'o the moment thing, I didn't have my camera...booooo!
Great big planes there!! LOL We saw one huge Edge that had the biggest outrunner I had ever seen in it......seriously the bell was bigger around than a softball and it flew on 2 7S Lipo's. It was amazing to see just how much power that plane had.....easily pulling the 55lb plane through all the cool slow 3D maneuvers...wow.
Eran was there and did a demo with a big heli and he even had his T-28 with him and did some great flying with it too.
We are planning to go back tomorrow around noon after putting in some flights at CH.

James' hair fell off again I see... jk big guy
