Hi hvac2000, Welcome to Wattflyer! The short answer to your question is Yes. But it's done person to person with nice folks willing to help out giving to the person who is shipping WG1 on the next leg.
But as the last 15 or 20 so posts so, we are at a big turning point and possibly the end of Wiggy's journey. I got Wiggy last year and am not sure what is next. Spring is just now hitting here in southwest Germany and I do plan on flying wiggy at least on more time with videos and pics for everyone here. What happens after that I just don't know. I am in the military and we are moving back to Oklahoma this summer. So to Velojet , my fearless leader, and to the Wiggy group at large I ask: What woud you like for me to do with dear Wiggy after I fly her this month? |

For me, the circle is closed now WG1 is back in Germany. It would be nice if the logbook could be digitalized and posted here for all the pilots. And some pictures of Wiggy in her final state.
The plane could be given to AMA as suggested before. |

Thanks for the update, max2112. Good to know that Wiggy's alive and well and itching for one last flight!

Is anyone in the States still interested in funding Wiggy's flight across the Atlantic and arranging for a final resting place at the AMA or some other suitable venue? As for a digitised logbook, we have one here. Stinkweed007 started it off and I took over its maintenance - it's all up to date and just waiting for max2112's final entry. It's much more fully illustrated than the logbook that's with Wiggy. |

Velo and group, There needn't be any more volunteers for shipping. I will do whatever it takes to get WG1 to her final destination, wherever that may be.

I think the AMA Museum would be the appropriate place for Wiggy, if they will take her. It is not a given that they will take and display Wiggy, but I think we should work in that direction. That way she will be available for anyone who wishes to see her, along with Squirt when she finishes her journey.
Also the Tiger Moth that made the earlier trip around the USA is already there. Perhaps someone who is familiar with the process to get an airplane received by the Museum and has some contacts there could offer advice as to the process. |

That sounds like a great way to get her back to the US and then we can decide what to do next. I don't know if the AMA museum has an interest in her, but we can always check.

[Being picky!] Strictly speaking, Wiggy should be flown in Germany, just to confirm she's completed her globetrotting, nicht wahr?

I think John has flown her there after he received her back in Germany. I could be wrong, but if I am, I am sure he will correct me, right John?

Would a go pro work on an AJ slick 42 if you balanced it right? or too heavy?

We have all called it "Wiggy" for so long, I have forgotten its real name! If you're talking about the red plastic model we flew around the world, I'm sure it will fly with a GoPro strapped on. Best of luck with it, anyway!

Lancer, IA posted in the wrong section.
Wiggy is NOT an AJ Slick! And, I wouldn't recommend a GoPro on Wiggy.... a keychain camera however would pose no problem. And, just so everyone knows, the curator at the San Diego Aerospace Museum said they'd be honored to give Wiggy a prominent placement. |

![]() I've still got it up in the loft waiting for my grandsons to get into the hobby as my son didn't want to fly her.

It is a Begin Air, which has a different wing from the Wing Dragon. It was an honor to participate in this global endeavor. Strangers all around the world shipped the model, one to the next, flying it and documenting the flight. Quite an amazing accomplishment.
Wherever it ends up, it would be nice to display it with a sizeable globe, with its route lined out. We flew our personal Begin Air with a 110 gram Aiptek camera on board, and it went fine. When we did our official Wiggy flights, we had a lighter camera strapped on. |
