danged "No-see'um's" are so bad that after soak'in down with some of the best bug-juice I can get then putting on long sleeves (90 deg out) I only managed two flight's in dead air , try a harrier roll just off the deck with a bug chew'in on your eye lid,,(and as soon as I can do a low harrier roll I'll know even better how bad it can be),,,anyway these danged things are as bad as I've ever seen in 60 years,,bubsteve

Steve that can make it tough to just fly never mined harrier rolls while getting the eye lid chewed on.

The skeeters have been out up here so far no black flies chomping away yet. Think those black flies are worse than the skeeters repellent doesn't seem to work on the black flies to well.

Yellow flys ain't even out yet,,the skeeters are but their just an afterthought next to the no see-ums,,which we we affectionately call "Jaws with wings" around here,,,,
I've heard about black-flys and hear their Real Nasty little rascals! bubsteve

That's the only thing I don't miss about Florida, the no-see-ums. I can deal with skeeters, horse flys, yellow flies, chiggers, everything but them darned no-see-ums!

And out here in the desert, there are almost no bugs. They're not as stupid as us humans.

Turns out a Bub hurt his knee and took some crutch's over for him then ran and did shopping and gased up his car and took his stuff off clothesline, then filled a RX he had,, Look's like no-see-um's or nothing for me,,gab'in lipos and bath'in in deet,,,wish me luck,, hate make'in blood sac'roe'fiz'is to the dead-Air God's!,bubsteve

I had a nice morning to run over to the park and get a few flights in this AM. Slight breeze and 55 degrees. No bugs and my kind of weather.

Yes Steve snow bunnies awesome creatures they only come out when there is snow in them thar hills. Used to run into them in my younger years of skiing.

We get them up here too the season is very short for beach bunnies sunglasses are mandatory for viewing.

I always enjoy the snow bunnies. Kind of take the dull grey edge of winter away once they start to show up on the slopes.


Only downside to their appearance is it means those gawdawful 80 plus degree days aren't too far behind them.
