It depends on the design.
The convention seems to be anticlockwise but of course in a twin rotor they spin in opposite ways. |

Actually if you are looking down to the top of the heli the blades spin clockwise on non-coaxial helis.

I think you will find virtually all Bell & Sikorsky helicopters (how many thousand is that?) rotate anti-clock. The Russian Mil types (yet more thousands!) seem to be clock. You pays your money and you takes your choice! |

My apologies, I did not know you were referring to real life helis which I have no experience with and defer to your expertise in the matter. But this is an RC forum where we mainly discuss RC aircraft, in which I don't know a single RC heli who's main blades spin counter clockwise, other than coaxial style heli.
