Without using a calculator - You are driving a bus from London toMilford Haven in Wales.

In London, 17 people get on the bus.
In Reading, 6 people get off the bus and 9 people get on.
InSwindon, 2 people get off and 4 get on.
In Cardiff, 11 people get off and 16 people get on.
In Swansea, 3 people get off and 5 people get on.
In Carmathen, 6 people get off and 3 get on.
You then arrive at Milford Haven.

Without scrolling back to review, how old is the bus driver?

That reminds me of the old college days during a Calculus final test.
You have one train track 60 miles long, and two trains on the same track heading directly at each other. One going 20 MPH, the second going 40 MPH.

Meanwhile you have a super powered bird flying at 60 miles per hour, going from the first train toward the second train. When it reaches the second train, it instantly reverses course and goes back to the first train. And on, and on until the two trains collide.

The question is, how many miles does the bird fly before it is squashed?

This is an interesting problem in Calculus. Each time the bird reverses directions, it traveles a shorter and shorter distance.

However it was a sneaky question, any fifth grader can figure it out. (I did it the fifth grader way) That course was a LONG time ago, and nowdays, everything learned there is long gone.

Who gets the first correct answer???
