If the motor is up to the task you can maybe prop that all the way up to x8 or even x10 and get a bit more thrust. Part-throttle flight on my draggy 5.5lbs 770kv 4S is much better with an x8 or x10 compared to the x6.
Somewhere in there though you start finding the limit, and what is 'enforcing' it! |

Jeez! Next time just throw a rock at it to bring it down!
![]() Not bad for the first landing, looks like it wants to get flown onto the ground vs nosing it up a bit and using the power to set the +/- climb rate. Maybe it needs a bit more down-angle on the motor? My next plane needs to be something like that, looked nice. |

You might want to try MUCH more prop.. A 12 or 13 inch prop is way WAY too small for a 600kv motor of that size on 4s. A 12" might be fine if you were running 6s but with your 4s battery you need to be spinning at least a 15" prop to get the most out of that motor.
Alternatively if you don't have ground clearance for a big prop you should be looking for a higher kv motor.. something around 900kv, or go to something like a 6s 2600mAh battery and keep the motor. |

i was thinking that also jetplaneflyer
there is only clearance for a 14 inch prop what pitch will be good on that 600kv motor |

Sadly you cant make of for too small diameter by adding pitch. You could try a 3 or even four blade prop, or what about finding longer landing gear?
If you are totally stuck at 14" I'd guess at 14x9 or maybe 14x10 (same goes for the 3 blade option). More cells would also do the trick. A 5s battery along with the 14" prop (maybe 14x7 on 5s) would get her shifting along nicely. |
