I am a total newbeginner in rc. Last year I bougt a Chinese Guanli Catalina with two brushed engines. So far I havent managed to get it in the air, it feels way underpowered and takin in water in the fusilage. (but Im pleased with the plane otherwise) Is there anyone who got a real good suggestion on a complete pack of all that is needed for an engine upgrade (to brushless) whithout any major customisation? Also I would like some advise on what to use for sealing the fusilage the best way to make it water resistant. And another thing to mension, Im from Sweden so my english isnt perfekt in any way , but I hope you all understood my questions.Though I buy my stuff on eBay I`d prefere if suggested items can be bought there, and YES, please link items if you have the opportunity to do so .I thank you all in advance and hope for many good advises from people who know more than I do, in a way that even I can understand .

Thanks, but I have read it and it doesnt answer my questions: What motors would be OK to use, radio, ESC, battery e.t.c.
There are those out there who have upgraded theire planes and I hope they will see this and give me some advises .//Robert |

Robert,
I have a link to a Guanli Catalina modification thread but I don't want to post a link to another forum on Wattflyer. If you send me a private message with your emal address I will send you the link. Sorry to have to do it like this, but I don't think its kosher to be posting links to other forums on Wattflyer. |

@ VOLTRON
Hello there, I just joined up here because I too am looking to upgrade my very under powered PBY Catalina. I see you told Robhow where to go to find the " Guanli Catalina modification thread " Since I am a new member here and my post count isn't up to 5 yet so I can't send you an email my email address is elad42560 at the yellow smiley face If you would be so kindly to send me that information as well. Sincerely, Snydo60 |

Hello snydo60,
I wasn't sure what to do with your email address. I don't typically post links to other forums, but I have recently noticed that one of this forums moderators posted a link to RC Groups. Because of that, I will make an exception. The link you are looking for is: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1426608 Voltron |
