WATTS over Owatonna - Southern Minnesota July 27-29 2012

WATTS over Owatonna is less then 8 weeks away and I wanted to make sure you have all the information about this years event. We are excited to host everyone again for another weekend of electric RC flying!

The event runs from Friday July 27th till Sunday July 29th. However we invite you to come early and enjoy the field early! The field will be open all day Thursday under normal club rules so that is a great time to get your last minute tweaks in or get a few flights on that brand new plane. We'll even have a Spaghetti dinner Thursday evening!

We are adding a parkflyer flight line for the smaller and slower planes to help balance out the flying space and help everyone feel comfortable in the air. We'll also have some times set aside for 3D flying or extreme speed flying on the main flight line. But don't worry we'll keep things open and moving so everyone gets more then enough time to fly.

We're fighting back at the bugs this year and pushing our "Man Vs. Mosquito" night flying. We'll do our best to keep them away and hope that mother nature helps out as well. So bring out the night flyers as we have some special night time events planned as well.

Make sure to plan to be here Saturday night for Karen's famous Steak dinner with all you can eat sweet corn! We have extra grills on hand to keep the lines moving. We'll have a short awards ceremony as dinner winds down and get right back to the flying fun!

Great Planes will be back again this year with some exciting new airplanes to show and maybe even let you try! Sig will also be on hand showing their updated Rascal airframes and maybe more! Be sure to stop by them and say hi.
