you will not go wrong joining a club. what you save in replacing crash parts will pay for the dues. I would not disconnect the lvc that will hurt the batteries, I would disconnect the act though. It made my supercub much easier to control

If it's the old RED-NiMh based SC, you DO want to pull the jumper, you DON'T want to rely on LVC anyway (it's still set too low) and you DO want to prop down to the 3S prop (9x6 HZ), a GWS 10x6, or an APCe 10x5 or you risk burning out the ESC.
