Picked up 900mah 3 cells today at the LHS charging now for a possible flight tomorrow will let you know how it goes

cool you should notice some difference in the speed are you keeping the 8x4 prop?

I am keeping the 8x4 prop and you were right she is fast first flight she flew me 2nd flight was a bit more controlled but while trying to get to the trim button she went down. Fixed her up and am eager to go for it again

cool they are a handful till you get used to them. My computer is down but should have it fixed next week. Keep us posted.

Wanted to try this evening but wind was blowing at 12 mph which wa not a problem but windchil was at 32 degrees. wait till tomorrow or monday. Want to fly Sunday but its mothers day and I would not being having all this fun if it were not for moms

I have been having a resl blast with this plane a 3 cell is definitly what it asked for. She is still a but twitchy and requires trim each time I fly it. However I think I am always smiling while flying it and beleive it or not people are really interested in it frm beginner to inntermediate and you ocasional passer buy. This IMHO is a good plane for someone trying to try out a wing and could use confidence boost. I have not been to successful with scratchbuilding in the recent past (my dart for example)but I think I am going to take a tip from Nova here and build one from scratch and go have a blast may even remotivate me to get the dart out again. We will see

I am glad to here you are going to scratch build again. if you want a wing I was going to draw up some prints for my new v3 wing and put them up on the other post will take me a couple of days but I will get them up. Scratch building is great and when maidens don't go right you just figure it out and go again till it flies.

Ok I am enjoying the Swift II so much that I am planning on building another however, I want to add lights so I can continue flying in the evening. My last adventure with lights did not fare so well. So I am going to post the question anyway. How do I set up lights to my Swift? Do I need another battery or ESC or can I go straight to a switch on my receiver? I would like to use these or something similar.

Hey fishbonez you can put a y connection on your esc and you can use your flight battery to power the plane and the lights you won't loose much flight time and the lights will be real bright. You can use like landing gear port on your receiver and use a switch to turn the lights on and off but they will be dim because the receiver only puts out like 5 volts. Hope this helps.

Decided my Swift needed something and I think I found it. Going to try to fly it this evening.

Well I flew it unfortuntly no video maybe tomorrow. I found flying in the dark quite an experience, very different from flying in the daylight. Felt like I was flying a line of lights. With the Swift it was a blast cant wait to try it again

Well tried it again last night. Got video however it did not come out looked like a blob of color Maybe get some video on friday night if it is not to windy. Flying the Swift in the dark is a whole new challenge in itself. I have learned it is hard to "see it" I see the 2 front colors and rear however cant see the top. While flying upwind I seem to fly ok but if a gust comes up whoooaaa. during the day the wind would not be a problem because I can see te entire plane but in the dark nor so much. Great roller coaster ride. I would be interested in reading how others fly a swift or delts in the wind in the dark
