Most all the stuff at that site is sold from China on ebay. I bought a motor on ebay couple of years ago and lost the specs on it they sell the motor here. At least I know what the specs are again. I have run this motor up on a 3 cell and have to admit it is nice and quiet now I can test it out again might put it on a plane I am putting together.

Browsing through there, I saw the Green Alpha Kit. an Alphajet. I have to wonder in the specs it says it requires a 4channel xmttr, and a 6ch rcvr.... Not the first time I've seen something like that. LOL!

Hi All I already purchased the motor from Value Hobby. To me IT looks like the same one specs and all.
Was just wondering about this Company for future purchases..I did E-mail them and got quick responses, but NO real information on the products I was interested in,ESC's that used the Hobby Wing program card..

I bought a new transmitter from Leadershobby. It arrived with a great big boot print and corresponding breaks to the case. Took forever to get it sorted out with their customer service. Admittedly the damage was done by their carrier but the system that they use to put it right takes way too long. It took almost three months before I got a working tx. First and last time for me
Cheers

I seriously doubt that.

Leaders hobby has Miami and LA warehouses. The selection is limited but stuff gets there quickly.

I've ordered a couple EMP motors and they are good. Ordering from China warehouse is like Hobbyking : You pay your money and take your chances. Return shipping is too expensive to make most claims worth it.

It's never too late to have a happy childhood.

I am wondering this. Why take the risk? Order from a good company like Todd's Models, Value Hobby, or Heads Up RC and you don't have to worry.

And this is another question I always ask. Tell us what you want and we'll find a good source for it.

Frank

I agree there are more and more places right here in the USA with competative prices and real customer service. I have had a very positive experience with Heads Up so far. Also their prices are almost as good as the Hong Kong dealers but the shipping is dirt cheap so it winds up costing about the same. What's not to like?

I also have been thinking about ordering from them due to the prices of course. See my last post about going fishing....it's all a game. They dangle a worm and we bite if we're hungry enough. Suks to be on a fixed income budget.

Some people hang pictures in their homes, I hang guitars in mine. I guess I can hang a few planes in the garage too!

I saw that and your right but that's half the fun of fishing right?

I have bought from Leaders about a dozen times now, mostly motors and ESC's and have not had any big problems. I did have one order where the servos I ordered went out of stock. They sent me an Email right away and offered me the choice of selecting a different servo, a refund, or credit. I took the refund and it showed up the next day so I have no complaints with them.

But like all Chinese hobby stores I cover my backside by using PayPal because you just never know.

The TRUTH is not always what it seems.

Yeah I know..I use PP with AmExp as payment. AmEx may cost a little more but they take care of you like no other. Double manufacturers warranty also. Anything happens to your item they take care of it.....don't know about fly and crash but if you drop it and break on the way into your house they cover it.
