then for kicks i reviewed July and low and behold theres a payment to hobbylinc.com for $38.39 on 8/18/12 with no record of what i purchased, then scanned many email deletes to see if hobbylinc.come ever shipped anything to me....siltch,nadda,nothing to show what the purchase was. apparently i never signed onto the site or gave my email to them. can't wait to call them Monday and see what i bought. perhaps i purchased something from a company that relays the payment to hobbylinc, but for sure I've never been on there site since nothing looks familiar. sad to say it's to late to ask paypal for a resolution as the 45 day dispute time is past....who knows, maybe I'm getting old and have been using the product and just don't remember...lol .has anyone ever used hobbylinc.com before? just curious ,thats why i bothered to post this and its not a complaint against them. they just don't seem like an rc site, more a large variety of arts, hobby stuff from puzzles to trains and rc cars. no planes though they do have kites and free flight stuff.......very strange

There is a huge Hobby Hobby and the small one (we know). The big one is the arts and crafts store.

I just started going through their site, and they do have a lot of rc airplane stuff. Lots of parts for electric and fuel plus TX's some of the prices are pretty good.
stu you have to stop shopping late at night when your tired. Bet you have a account with them and you don't remember. ![]() Try logging in with your email account and then submit forgot password see if you used them and just forgot. You will be able to tell right away if they say not email or account not found. I did that once I bought off of ebay and my billing from PayPal came up with a name I didn't recognize. I had to track it down by the cost and found it. Just made me think I wonder if they have a Ebay store and you bought from them that way. |

I'll bet your right....gotta stop hitting the buy now button before bed...lol
. I'm sure a call tomorrow will fill in the blanks, but i tried the email enter and it said email has not been entered, so my password or a password reset didn't work for me on their site. there phone # is east coast time so should know more in the morning as they're located in GA.USA.it's just strange that i can see all the other transactions on my email deleted lists that show the paypal receipt of payment by vendors and follow up emails that state product ordered and resulting in shipping tracking numbers. aside from hobbylink, the only other vendor's were hextronik, headsuprc, banana hobby, karlshobby. i also canceled 2 of those orders and received refunds to my account. like you say john,i shouldn't shop late at night as second thoughts of doing things better come in the morning .

,not yet. i called their customer service and spoke to a rep who will review products shipped in 8/12[![]() ] . he acknowleged the recieving payment but will need a day to find out what i ordered....sheeesh,comon man, type in my name in your computer and pull up my order history.then tell me what i bought. my guess is he tried that and came up with zilch info as to why i paid them $38.39 via paypal.....now i will wait a day for their reply.in the future i'll check my paypal statements when they arrive via email on the comp more carefully. ![]() sadly,i tend to order and ignore the wait time for delivery so packages are arriving regularly but the last few months i haven't been spending as much and am not expecting a package any time soon . so the mystery is still continuing.

Well Stuart sounds like you didn't have to make a account to order like some places. Now you are at the final level of addiction it's called blackout ordering much like a alcohol fueled blackout.
![]() ![]() I am guilty of ordering and forgetting. It is always nice to come home and find a package waiting for me that I wasn't expecting. Like a little kid I open it up and then I remember placing a order. ![]() Glad you are getting it figured out be pretty hard to believe PayPal would let some company bill your account with out you okaying it. |

opened and read my emails once home from work and read this from paypal......
hobbylinc sent you a full refund of $38.39 USD for your purchase. If you have any questions about this refund, please contact Hobbylinc.com. The refund will go to the card you paid with. To see all the transaction details, please log into your PayPal account. It may take a few moments for this transaction to appear in your account. Merchant information Hobbylinc.com customerservice@hobbylinc.com http://www.hobbylinc.com now the question that didn't get answered is what does $38.39 buy at hobbylinc and why did paypal issue them this money . when i called yesterday the hobbylinc rep said they would call me with the results of there search, instead i got a refund with no explanation. so i'll call them in the morning just out of curiosity.on the brighter side,i think i'll p/u some hobby stuff worth $38,maybe late tonight before going to bed... .

That's just weird. If nothing else, I'd call them back and find out why you were charged in the first place. If it can happen once, it can happen again.

.[/QUOTE]Now that there is funny!!!!!!! I would be calling paypal also asking how they could pay out to a store with out you signing in and okaying it. Paypal screwed up on this big time themselves. |
