I've recently gone from using a dead-end in an unused business park to a big open actual RC field, it's like a little slice of heaven.
I was flying (very little) at another RC field but it was in the wrong direction, and it had big trees (whole dang forest) just across the runway, you had to take off and climb like mad, and for landings you had to swoop down. |

Ask me why your DX5e is doomed... and how to fix it.

We fly at a huge sod farm outside of Dyer or I just throw da planes here at the house. Over the years people have stopped by both places.

I am actually trying to negotiate with a turf farm near home, it's very open, level and you really can't do too much damage even if you nosed in.
I may have to pay a small fee to fly but it would be very well worth it. In the meantime, I am still very jelous and envious of your flying field ![]() P.S. you could/ I could really use a 'green eyed monster' icon ATM, I'm so jelous ![]() Regards Ian |

all my flying places are free. plus i live on a 300 acre farm. closest flying field is 1hr drive and its free. next closest is 1.25 hrs drive and its not free. i do wish i had a fly field closer that the tree line wasnt as close, but i still have some pretty decent places to fly.
