Default Stryker undercarriage

Dont suppose its original, but I got peeved with hand held launch problems not to mention potential loss of digits! So I put an undercarriage on my F27Q (a la Scimitar), works great on my grass strip...hence big foam wheels. Used control bent rods and some epoxy strengthening.... CG still OK.

Hopefully here are pics of my Stryker undercarriage setup. Mains are bent to go thru skids and across the wing ply spars. Front uses the existing wheel pant with some epoxy and a right angle into the main body. so far so good, but I try to always land on the mains first.

If I am reading you correctly, I think you made the landing gear out of bent control rods. Correct?

If so they may work OK on a real smooth landing, but may bend on a hard landing.

I would recommend using the high strength wire available at hobby shops.
Looks nice, and it is safer.

Hi Tried launching with a dolly but only smashed props so believe yours the best option. What size wheels did you use.
